PLATING ON CERAMIC

The production line for plating on ceramic was started in 2007 with a fully automated system to ensure consistency in quality and to cater to high productivity. The plating on ceramic process is one of Epson's unique selling points that allows it to maintain its leading position in the plating industry. Ceramic parts are plated using the barreling method, with current production output hitting 40 million pieces per month and still increasing.

 

Main Application/Advantages

  • Plating on ceramics is often used in the production of high power electrical equipment such as refrigerators, vehicles, air conditioners and hair dryers. The advantage of the process is that it gives a stable, low value resistor, excellent resistor value, and low TCR range, while also being environmentally friendly.
